GETTING HERE

From I-40 take exit 53A for US Hwy 74A (Charlotte Rd) to Bat Cave and Lake Lure. You will go approximately 32 miles, going through Fairview, Gerton, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. About 10 miles out of Lake Lure on the way to Rutherfordton you come to a "dangerous intersection" sign. Turn left onto McEntire and an another immediate left onto Rainbow Rapids Road. Go 1 mile and you will come to Serene Place on the left, just past the white fence. Camp Serene is the first drive on your right. This route is scenic and quite twisty and curvy. If you have a bigger motorhome you should consult your navigation programs.

From I-26 coming from the south, take exit 66 onto Hwy US 74 for Columbus. Continue on US 74 for approximately 6 miles, then take Exit 167 for NC Hwy 9. At the bottom of the ramp turn left. Continue approximately 12 miles to US Hwy 64/74A. Stop a minute and enjoy that view....Then turn right. Go approximately 8 miles until you come to a "dangerous intersection" sign. Turn left onto McEntire and an another immediate left onto Rainbow Rapids Road. Go 1 mile and you will come to Serene Place on the left, just past the white fence. Camp Serene is the first drive on your right.
